The MAC Legal Advice Clinic – Family Law

SALSA has partnered with The Multi-Assistance Center at Morgan’s Wonderland (The MAC) to hold the The MAC’s Legal Advice Clinic. The first Wednesday of every month we offer family law consultations. This is a great opportunity to assist families with disabilities.
The clinic is located at The Multi-Assistance Center (The MAC) at Morgan’s Wonderland at 5210 Thousand Oaks Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78233. Parking is free and located across the street, behind the stadium. If you need accessible parking, you can park in the lot closest to The MAC.
If you would prefer to volunteer remotely, please indicate so on the submission form. Remote volunteers will be on call and will be provided with a Zoom link the morning of the clinic. Volunteers will then be contacted when a client is ready to meet with them.
Volunteer law students from St. Mary’s University may assist with the intake application. The volunteer will then be paired with a law student and a client to discuss the relevant issues. The volunteer attorney will meet with the client only during the prescribed clinic hours. If the client’s situation requires a more complex method to resolve the issue(s), SALSA staff will assist with providing the client referral information for additional resources after the volunteer’s assistance has concluded at The MAC Legal Advice Clinic.
