On January 15th, SALSA launched the Don’t Bully Me (DBM) Project Volunteer Intake Line. Registration is now live for non-attorney and attorney volunteers interested in participating in the DBM Project.
Our founding group of trained paralegals are the first point of contact for community members who need assistance navigating available resources to combat cyberbullying. In addition to providing resources, our non-attorney intake line volunteers perform the critical task of determining eligibility for placement with a DBM Project pro bono attorney. Attorney volunteers then provide assistance with drafting a cease and desist letter or seeking injunctive relief under David’s Law.
SALSA continues to expand opportunities for non-attorney volunteers to participate in pro bono services. Our legal community is rich with talented and compassionate professionals looking to make a difference and SALSA is working hard to create new opportunities so paralegals, legal assistants, and other members of our community can participate in helping make the justice system more accessible.
