Transfer on Death Deed (TODD) Clinic

Do you own your home and want to make sure it passes to a loved one without the cost and delay of probate? SALSA’s Transfer on Death Deed Clinic helps low-income homeowners protect their homes and preserve generational stability. A Transfer on Death Deed is a simple legal document that allows your home to transfer directly to a designated beneficiary when you pass away — no probate required.

At the clinic, each client meets with a volunteer attorney and law student who will explain available asset transfer options, review your title report and property documents, and draft, execute, and file your Transfer on Death Deed. If there are issues with your title, the attorney can offer limited advice on the steps needed to clear it.
