Transfer on Death Deed (TODD) Clinic

May 21 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join SALSA as we collaborate with the Mexican American Unity Council (MAUC) to draft Transfer on Death Deeds (TODDs) for qualifying members of our community as a means of staving off vacancies, promoting habitability, and promoting generational wealth among San Antonio’s most vulnerable populations.

This will be an in-person clinic at 2300 W. Commerce, Ste. 200, San Antonio, Texas 78207 where attorneys draft TODDs for qualifying clients.

Many times, the communities we serve do not have the means to do estate planning, which causes long-term problems for the families with properties getting tied up in heirships, confusion about who pays property taxes, and becoming subject to predatory investors. Help us make a difference for these families to pass their property to designated loved ones.

Once you register to volunteer for the TODD Clinic, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to SALSA’s TODD Clinic Resources Page, where you will find training materials, templates, disclosures and more. The email should arrive immediately after you register, so if you don’t see it in your inbox, please check your spam. We ask that you bring your laptop with you to the clinic so that you can draft the TODD onsite, and then printing will be available at MAUC. Notaries will be present at the clinic to ensure proper execution of the TODDs after drafting, and the Bexar County Clerk’s mobile clerk will be on-site to record the completed TODDs.

We are excited to work with you and excited for you to be part of the first TODD Clinic with SALSA!
