SALSA board members, staff and volunteers gathered at Bombay Bicycle Club on August 1st for chips & salsa, drinks and good company. We also had the opportunity to recognize an exceptional volunteer whose service had an outstanding impact on our community.
Mandy Taylor, Managing Partner of Taylor & Lopez PLLC, has been volunteering with SALSA since 2021. Mandy has stepped up to assist with multiple volunteer opportunities in SALSA’s Estates program, including volunteering at the Small Estate Clinic and taking on probate cases for clients needing extended representation. We were thrilled to take a moment to highlight and honor her work and efforts with our clients at the August Volunteer Happy Hour.
Mandy uses her legal acumen to help her clients navigate some of the most traumatic periods of their lives. Over the last twelve months, Mandy has devoted her time to assist on eight clients. One of Mandy’s previous client attests:
“I was at a total loss after my husband passed from COVID-19. Not only had my best friend of over 20 years passed but I had no idea where to start the process of picking myself and family off the floor and starting on this new trail with our love. Not only did Ms. Taylor provide the absolute best assistance but she also comforted me. Ms. Taylor knew I needed to hear how things would get better even though I did not believe it at the time. I will always be grateful for all the help Ms. Taylor provided in my time of need. Thank you, Ms. Taylor!”
