SALSA awarded $30,000.00 from the Texas Bar Foundation

San Antonio, TX – (November 1, 2022) San Antonio Legal Services Association (SALSA) is pleased to announce a $30,000.00 grant award from the Texas Bar Foundation (TBF) to underwrite costs associated with SALSA’s efforts to further the Don’t Bully Me (DBM) Project, a pro bono legal services program launched by David’s Legacy Foundation after the passage of “David’s Law” in 2017.

Since its inception in 1965, the Texas Bar Foundation has awarded more than $24 million in grants to law-related programs. Supported by members of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar Foundation is the nation’s largest charitably-funded bar foundation.

This generous award will support the creation of a streamlined intake process and provide a technological infrastructure to facilitate state-wide collaboration between legal aid and pro bono entities across Texas, positioning families facing the devastating effects of bullying to be paired with an attorney to discuss their civil legal options and help make the bullying stop.
