San Antonio Legal Services Association invites you to a private luncheon on one of the most important challenges facing our profession: expanding access to justice through greater attorney participation in pro bono service.
Each mark represents a share of San Antonio’s bar. The city has roughly 6,800 attorneys, and about 240 of them volunteer with SALSA — the seven marks in gold.
That is not enough.
An invitation-only conversation
This gathering brings together leaders from San Antonio’s plaintiffs’ bar for a focused discussion about the role attorneys and firms can play in closing the justice gap.
State Bar of Texas President G. David Smith will share his perspective on the profession’s responsibility to serve, the need for greater attorney participation in pro bono work, and the opportunity for San Antonio lawyers to lead.
SALSA will also share practical ways attorneys and firms can get involved — through volunteer service, firm engagement, and ongoing support of access-to-justice efforts.
What we’ll cover
- The state of pro bono participation
- The responsibility of the legal profession
- Expanding attorney and firm engagement
- Practical pathways to volunteer through SALSA
- Building stronger long-term partnerships with the plaintiffs’ bar
