DESCRIPTION:PLEASE APPLY FOR SERVICES AT https://www.sa-lsa.org/veterans/ \nThe San Antonio Legal Services Association (SALSA) hosts bi-monthly legal clinics designed to provide legal advice and counsel to qualifying San Antonio-area Veterans and their dependents. Assistance is generally limited to advice ONLY; possibility of representation beyond the clinic setting will be determined after the initial consultation. Please bring all relevant documentation\, contracts\, and communications pertaining to your legal issue to the clinic. \n The Veterans’ Legal Advice Clinic provides limited legal assistance on various civil and administrative legal issues\, including but limited to: \n\nHousing/Landlord Issues: Early termination of lease\, rental repairs\, disability accommodations\, security deposit return\, etc.\nEmployment: Request for or denial of disability accommodations\, Department of Labor & EEOC complaint assistance\, etc.\nFamily Matters: Child support\, divorce\, custody\, etc. Assistance in family law matters is limited to ADVICE ONLY. No legal action will be taken or filed on behalf of any client beyond the clinic.\nConsumer Issues: Property or income tax disputes\, mortgage concerns\, and/or contract enforcement.\nVeteran-Specific Concerns: VA Pension and Compensation appeals\, VA Debt waivers\, Discharge Upgrade actions\, and/or DoD records correction.\nCriminal Expunctions\n\nNOTE: The Clinic does not assist with: (1) Criminal Charges\, (2) Traffic Violations\, (3) Personal Injury Claims\, (4) Workers’ Compensation Claims\, or (5) Lawsuits directed at government agencies (other than VA claims).  \nEligibility: Eligibility is subject to income restrictions.
