Tenant/Landlord Dispute – 59-year-old client vacated and surrendered her rental property in October of 2022. After which the property management company erroneously withheld the security deposit and charged additional cleaning/replacement fees in bad faith. Client contacted an attorney who drafted a demand letter for the return of the deposit, the landlord did not respond. Due to financial constraints the client is not able to retain paid representation. Client has pictures, correspondence, and documentation surrounding the issue. Client is seeking representation in the recovery of her security deposit and damages under Tex. Prop. Code § 92.109.
